Framed art of the Mt of the Holy Cross (one of Colorado's 14,000' mountains). This artwork is framed and came out of the historic Windsor Hotel in Denver, CO. The Windsor was the primary rival to the world-renowned Brown Palace before being torn down in 1960. The picture hung in the main lobby of this historic hotel that boasts the stay of multiple US Presidents including Grant, Cleveland, Roosevelt, and Taft. Other notables were Robert Louis Stevenson, Mark Twain, and Calamity Jane. The art is signed and dated by the artist in 1915. I am not sure of the medium used (oil, acrylic, etc). We had this picture hanging in our living room that had 18' ceilings. However, we now have a house with more standard ceilings and it is too big to hang as it goes nearly from floor to ceiling here.
There are a few minor damages on the painting but were not so noticeable when hanging that we ever felt compelled to have it repaired. The overall dimensions of the frame is approximately 55" wide x 92" tall. I bought this when we lived in Longmont, CO but now live in Lynchburg, VA. This artwork is in Virginia currently and would need freighted and shipped if going out of state. I do not know what the cost of this would be but could do some research for a serious buyer. The Mt of the Holy Cross is one of Colorado's 14,000 plus mountains and the "cross" is formed by a glacial field.
I am including several pictures of the overall picture and the date/signature of the artist. I can take more pictures if needed. This is a very unique artwork from a historical Denver Co landmark.
