Born May 22, this little guy is ready to be a bottle-reared new kid at your farm. He is a miniature Oberhasli, with a registered purebred Nigerian Dwarf sire and a mini-Ober dam.
The sire is solid black and silky, with a great temperament; his mature daughter consistently has triplets and is both spring and fall cycling. She has a very nice udder. For a Nigerian Dwarf buck, he is medium sized, about 23 inches tall at the withers. Disbudded, and lots of feathering. He is friendly, and always stays in the electric nets, as well as walking well on leash.
The dam is Oberhasli colored, with a stocky frame and very well attached, large capacity udder. She is 6 years old and has never needed deworming. Her whole line has been selected for parasite resistance, hardiness on pasture, and good milk production without grain. She is calm, friendly and very good about staying inside the electric nets. We milk her out on pasture without needing a stanchion.
The little buck is very extroverted and curious about everything. He's romping around on the livestock guardian dog and the other dairy goats. He has had some time nursing on his dam so that he understands that he is a goat, not a human, so it is time to pull him and find a farm that needs genetics like he brings to the table.
