In a stock unit, the anti-scalping wheel is all you have to control the cutting height, and you are completely dependent on it. If it goes in a dip you scalp. Not so with this customized unit, you set and hold the cutting height hydraulically and the wheel is just used to slightly assist.
Requires a remote SCV or a loader SCV joystick (as shown on the tractor). Includes PTO shaft which has been cut to work on sub-compact tractors like a JD 1025R/1023E, Kubota BX or Massey 1 GC/1726. Also includes operators manual, and trimmer string, as well as 11/16" OD quick connect male fittings on the cylinder - but hoses are NOT included. Tractor is NOT included.
This unit has less than 25 hours of use. It was used to cut along a fence ridge and drainage ditch for one season. It is no longer needed since I am no longer maintaining that property. It has been garage kept and is in like-new condition. Being sold as-is. Please contact seller for any questions you may have.
If you have a fence row, or drainage culvert and are tired of hand trimming and own a sub-compact tractor, this is what you want - especially with the advantages of the hydraulic control. It operates quietly and requires only 10 PTO HP. It will work on larger tractors as well but will most likely require a longer PTO shaft.
